Can you believe we are at the end of this challenge already? Twenty-five weeks just flew by! This week, we are wrapping things up by reflecting on the process. I have compiled a list of all the topics we covered during this challenge. Here is a downloadable PDF if you would like a copy of it.
This week's video:
Let's Reflex on the process.
What worked well for you?
My Reflection: I took some time to reflex on this process this week. First, I took the above list and highlighted the areas where I still struggle. This is helpful because it
shows my problem areas.
Where do you need to improve?
What is still not organized as well as you would like it to be? For me, I am still struggling with scrap management. I tend to stack and stack (and stack and stack) scraps without really doing anything with them except pile them up. Now, to be fair to myself, when the mood strikes, I do cut them up into manageable chunks. This has been helpful for many projects and patterns. BUT I still struggle because the more you make stuff, the more your scrap pile grows. This is an area I am going to examine moving forward.
Where did you do well?
What was the most helpful area in this process? For me, it was organizing yardage. Wow, what a difference this made! I can see everything, pull what I need, and neatly tuck it away when I am finished. How about you? What was most helpful in your space?
Moving forward, what habits can you add to help you stay more organized? This is going to take some thinking, at least for me. How can I organize my scraps? How can I part with scraps I don't want? What projects can I make that will include my scraps?
Your Homework:
Reflect on the process.
